People of Vision

Many volunteer groups have supported Prevent Blindness Indiana over the years, but People of Vision (POV) has been the most enduring. In 1981, Marilyn Glick founded the POV auxiliary to assist Prevent Blindness Indiana in its sight-saving endeavors.

POV members contribute volunteer hours to screening Indiana’s children and adults for vision problems, as well as provide indispensable office assistance and fundraising support.

As a fellow sight saver, please consider increasing your level of involvement:

  • If you are not a member, join now by contacting POV President Lorelei Tolson at 317-403-9126.
  • If you are an active member, step up to contributing at the patron level of membership.
  • Take advantage of one of our many volunteer opportunities—share your skills by giving your time in an area that interests you.
  • Become a Lifetime Member in POV's Endowment Fund for PBI with a minimum contribution of $1,000.

With the funds raised by POV for annual and long-term needs, PBI will have increasing support each year to help secure our vision for Indiana children and adults: to see the world as it is meant to be seen.
